What does FleetCaptain do for the Dispatcher?
FleetCaptain puts the dispatcher in control. The dispatcher is at the centre of the action, the centre of the flow of information, and is a key interface between the school and the pilot. The dispatcher finds and loads the pilot’s mission, lets the system select an aircraft and completes the dispatch process in a moment. Usually it’s just that easy. If something goes wrong – there is not enough fuel, or too much, or a defect, or the pilot wants the W&B in the arm format or has a special request, or low maintenance time remains… the dispatcher is perfectly positioned to find a solution. The system will help select an alternate aircraft or help determine how to best solve the problem. The dispatch desk is a busy place. It can be a stressful place. FleetCaptain provides solutions, allowing the dispatcher to maintain control, make pilots happy and move on to the next dispatch.
When an aircraft returns and flight/air times are entered, FleetCaptain does the calculations, creates records and can even communicate with the billing system. Properly configured, the return and billing transactions are done in moments, with no wasted movements or transcription errors.
In a short overview, there’s little space to talk about flight simulators, training in owner operated aircraft, ground-only flight instruction, pilot currency, medical status… Suffice to say that FleetCaptain handles all that too.
